Pre-release patch 04

Hey Everyone,

Here’s a fix for some issues that came up last night.

  • Put back in launcher to make switching resolutions easier and switching which monitor launches

  • Fixed tree houses turning invisible when repaired

  • Added back in a loading optimization that should speed up loading save games (should fix players getting stuck on R when loading - if issue persists let us know and send us the save games if possible)

  • Options are now slightly pushed back and repositioned to properly fit in ratios other than 16/9

  • Fixed issue with screen being overly bright on some machines as multiple tone mapping was applied

  • Should fix some log sled issues in old saves

  • Fixed range of skull light hanging

  • Added back the visuals for active cheats in title screen

  • Fixed missing waterskin and old pot water content status and %

 

If you are running a dedicated server, you will need to restart your server with the latest version to be compatible with this patch release.

Improved enemy pacing and world population (along with some small bug fixes and performance enhancements).

Thanks to everyone in the community who helped us get this crashing issue resolved so quickly! It turns out it was an issue with our latest ocean shader that strangely only affected certain nvidia cards.

Hey Everyone,  

The Forest currently requires a minimum of 4 gb of ram to run correctly. We've been notified that Windows 32bit by default may not be using the entire 4 gigs on your system.
